See what the eye misses

Three tools, one goal: point you to the areas that deserve a closer look.

Detect

Live markers

Spots whose tint differs from the surrounding paint are framed in real time. Lighting falloff and reflections are filtered out, so what remains is a different paint mix.

Multi-angle

Gloss trail

Slide the phone along the panel with the light on. XralIQ aligns every frame with ARKit and maps how the clear coat reflects. A repaired area shows up as a dull gap in the trail.

Captures

Capture, label, share

Freeze a frame, review it in every analysis mode, label what you found and share a watermarked image with a plain-language summary.

How it works

  1. 1

    Aim at the panel

Hold the phone 30–40 cm from the car and fill the frame with one panel.

  2. 2

    Slide with the light on

Switch to Multi-angle, turn on the light and slide slowly along the panel.

  3. 3

    Review and confirm

Compare modes, label what you found and confirm it with a paint thickness gauge.

An optical scanner, not a gauge

We would rather be useful than oversell. XralIQ points you to suspicious areas; a paint thickness gauge has the final word.

  • Highlights color and tint shifts
  • Reveals texture and gloss differences
  • Can't measure paint thickness
  • Can't prove a car has never been repainted

Nothing leaves your phone

All analysis runs on your iPhone. There is no account and nothing is uploaded. Captures stay on your device until you choose to share them.

  • On-device processing
  • No account needed

Questions

Does XralIQ measure paint thickness?

No. A phone camera only sees light reflected from the surface. XralIQ highlights optical differences in tint, texture and gloss. Confirm what you find with a paint thickness gauge.

Which cars and colors work best?

Solid and metallic paints in daylight or even indoor light. Very dark, matte or wrapped surfaces are harder, and fresh polish or ceramic coatings can hide differences.

Why slide the phone in Multi-angle?

Reflections move with your position, not your tilt. Sliding along the panel sweeps the light across the clear coat, so differences in gloss become visible.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. All analysis happens on your device.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later. An Android version is on the way.
